Tri Delta’s 62nd biennial Convention will be held in June 2026 at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center in Aurora, CO.
In July, I had the honor and privilege to represent our alumnae chapter as the voting delegate at Tri Delta’s Convention and LEADDD in Orlando, FL. Jennifer Bufe, Michigan State and Kathy Woolner, Jacksonville, also attended - we had a very busy, fun, and productive weekend, meeting, mingling, and learning from Tri Delta sisters from all over the country and beyond!
Twenty amendments to our Fraternity ByLaws were approved by the delegates at the business meeting as well as the respective slates for the 2024-2026 Executive Board and Leadership Cultivation & Selection Committee (LCSC). The incoming 2024-2026 Tri Delta Housing Board members and Foundation Trustees were also introduced. Congratulations to all Tri Deltas! St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has designated Tri Delta as its “Official Partner of Kindness.” This special recognition acknowledges that we have achieved a fundraising milestone no other nonprofit or Greek organization has ever reached – $100 million – and we did it in 25 years! At Convention, Tri Delta renewed her support to St. Jude’s mission with a very ambitious pledge –to raise another $100 million by Tri Delta’s 150th anniversary in 2038! Congratulations to us! We were recognized as a “Four Star Award” chapter for achieving honor roll status in the areas of Community Service, Financial, Operations, and Philanthropy. Thank you to all our officers and members whose hard work made this happen! Finally, congratulations to our wonderful member, Shanna Dunbar, UC-Irvine! We were thrilled when Shanna was named as the second runner-up for the prestigious Ernestine Block Grigsby Award. The EBG Award recognizes “alumnae who, through their loyalty and dedication to Tri Delta, have given outstanding service to their local chapters.” Shanna, we appreciate all that you do for our chapter! Mark your calendars! Tri Delta’s 62nd biennial Convention will be held in June 2026 at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center in Aurora, CO.

We hope you were able to tune into some of Convention this year as there were a few virtual components. There were many exciting moments at Convention but hearing our chapter name being called at the Volunteer and Alumnae Award Dinner tops everything. We are proud to announce that our chapter received the Eleanor Dorcas Pond Award! The Eleanor Dorcas Pond Award recognizes the alumnae chapter who has offered overall exceptional and rewarding experiences to their members while maintaining a viable roster, promoting lifetime membership, offering diversity in activities, and reflecting a commitment to sisterhood and the Purpose of Tri Delta.
We are so appreciative of our executive board leadership of 2020-2022 for working to offer those rewarding experiences. Special thanks to Lauren Allyn, Clemson, Brigid McCarthy, Creighton, Allison Hart, Colgate, Deadra Recksiedler, Allegheny, Kathy Woolner, Jacksonville, Caroline Brennan, Allegheny, and Wendy Stummer, Cornell, who worked tirelessly to ensure despite Covid-19, we remained a strong chapter. Receiving the Eleanor Dorcas Pond Award shows that the strong bond of friendship and sisterhood thrives in Cleveland.
